Gliko Oniro directly translates as sweet dreams and from our own experience this is a perfect description of nights spent in these simple studios just above the delightful Limani beach in Lefkos. Those who hanker for the relaxation and simplicity of the Greece of yesteryear will really appreciate this two-storey terrace of whitewashed studios from where you can survey the curving bay and seascape beyond.
Each studio is simply furnished with pine beds and wardrobes, a fitted kitchenette with fridge and two-ring hob, sufficient for preparing breakfast and simple meals, a table and chairs and of course a shower room. The individual balconies all face out over the garden towards the sea making the most of the elevated position and allowing a perfect view of the sun setting over the sea.
At the foot of the series of stone steps, the only access to Gliko Oniro, is a small general store and the beach and tavernas are just a short stroll further. The studios are owned by a local fisherman whose family own the fish taverna that sits in pride of place at the end of the jetty looking for all intents and purposes like something out of a Greek village film set.
